Central European weather is still in summer lethargy! Winds from the south will bring a bit more humid maritime air to our region today. It will not be humid enough to keep the sun from shining, but it may still produce thunderstorms towards the evening.

Tendency

Monday will remain bright and warm with only a low risk of thunderstorms towards the evening. Tuesday will bring a change, however: With the foehn weakening, thunderstorms will develop.

Almost everyone who hears the name of Innsbruck immediately thinks of the Golden Roof, and a famous personality is inextricably linked with this special attraction: Emperor Maximilian I (1459–1519). He not only had the glittering roof built and transferred important court offices to Innsbruck but is considered, by virtue of his marriage policy, as the founder of the House of Habsburg and was soon called the "first European".

He always regarded Innsbruck as his actual capital. So it’s not surprising that the many buildings he had built all over the city still remind us of him 500 years after his death. But he was not the only Habsburger to establish a memorial for himself in Innsbruck over the centuries.

Experience first hand a piece of European history and follow in the Habsburgs’ footsteps!

Forecast

Weak weather fronts with thundery air masses are approaching from France. It will not be able to keep them away completely and this is why clouds will form around midday after a bright morning and produce thunderstorms and showers in the evening.

Tendency

The area of low pressure that is building over Central Europe today will also affect our weather here, unfortunately. It will not bring continuous rain, but very changeable weather conditions with only short sunny spells and showers or thunderstorms.
